One more.

Heartstrings...which you can see here. A thank you to Monarchdancer, for featuring my sculptural bird dish with pink...which is also part of my Valentine's Special through Saturday.

Stumped.

Actually, not stumped at all. I figured it out. I had wanted to design a sugar jar for my smaller owl pitchers and when a customer mentioned that she wanted one, it pushed me to finally do it. These are not something I will be making over and over again, so don't expect to see a lot of them. I only made 2 sets so far. One is already spoken for but if they both come out with no problems, the other set may pop up on Etsy...not sure about that though.

Everything is getting loaded and bisque fired tomorrow morning.

Christmas.

Well, not really, but it always feels like it when I open a kiln. My camera battery died before I could take more pictures, but I am loving my glazes. Here are some new tripods in a new light pink and blue...I posted them in my shop today along with a few special orders...

This one is sold, but I will be posting more of these bird bowls this week so be on the lookout. My other bird bowls...dishes really...came out just like I had hoped. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I'm soooo happy with them.

I also got a lovely message from Sydnei, from SimplySentimental, this morning to inform me that she featured my green chick on her blog today. Thanks Sydnei! She also included something from Modern June, who's oilcloth aprons and tablecloths are perfectly practical and totally cute.

Here fishy, fishy.

I had wanted to post about this bowl over the weekend, but mug mania (don't worry, there will be photos) in the studio prevented me from having any free time. I was thinking of making a fish bowl for a while. I had thought I would make in on the wheel, but I am so happy with how this one came out. It was made with one slab of porcelain. It is very thin and SO light. With the exception of the green interior, every bit of this guy has been carved, even the edges. Another piece that I just want to hold all day. His tale slumped a bit in the kiln and I think it helps to give him some movement. Perfect for candy or displayed on a low table.
And, oh yes, there will be more of these guys.
